Not everybody has time to spend an hour at the gym, in addition to the time it takes to get there and get ready every single day. In fact, many people find their schedules a little too packed to even get a 30 minute workout in every single day. Warm-Up

When it comes to warming up, you probably only want to spend about a minute or so on the step so that you can get to the other elements of training. Although static stretching is an option, dynamic stretching is one of the best ways to get your entire body moving at once. Try out some squats, side lunges, tricep circles and even jogging leg lifts to get your blood pumping before you start on the rest of your workout.

Cardio

If you include dynamic stretching in your repertoire, moving into the cardio portion of your workout should be fairly easy. The two might even be slightly interchangeable depending upon the workout that you choose to do. Cardio is another way that you can get your entire body moving at once and make the most out of your time when you’re working out. Try out some jumping jacks, running, mountain climbers or even stair sets if you have one available!

Bodyweight

Moving on to the meat and potatoes of your workout, it’s time to get to some bodyweight exercises so you can work your muscles. Using the weight of your body to work out is one of the easiest ways to get things going quickly, and it can involve a variety of movements and fitness goals. Everything from squats to pushups, burpees and lunges can be great choices for getting yourself moving and working your whole body for the most effective workout within your time constraints.

Core

It doesn’t get any more real than working your core with the time that you’ve got in your workout. Even if you only spend a minute on your core exercises, you can really get a lot done by pushing yourself and finding the most effective combination possible. So, drop it to the floor, engage your core and get started on Russian twists, bicycle crunches, side crunches, sit-ups, plank exercises, plank twists, leg lifts and even a set of standard crunches if you feel a little classic. Changing up this routine frequently can also help you hit every corner of your abs over time.

Stretching

Of course, you probably are entitled a little bit of stretching in your initial warm-up, but the end of your six minute workout should leave at least a little bit of time to cool down. Especially when this workout setup lend itself to pushing your body extremely hard in a short amount of time, you should make it a priority to take care of your body so that you can continue doing what you love. Even a little bit of yoga, downward dog, child’s pose and forward fold stretching can really do the trick when it comes to working out your muscles.
