As May 31st swiftly approaches, Euphoria season 3 is coming to an end. In a season and series so full of shocking twists, turns and reveals, what better way to watch everything unfold than with a group of your friends and show-watching confidants? If you want to throw a watch party to rival Cassie’s wedding, this guide will help you pull everything together.

Spoilers ahead!

Decor: Curating the Euphoria Vibe

Euphoria fans might be used to the over-the-top glitter, dark colors and LED lights from the previous two seasons, but you might have felt an aesthetic shift to a brighter, pastel and even retro feeling this season.

Even if this might seem like it challenges or limits your party decor opportunities, it can actually open them up. Especially if you start your party during the day, you can play up the new vibe before transitioning into the darker colors when the sun goes down and the show starts.

Decorations

If you’re blending the two aesthetics together, you can’t go wrong with basics like black and gold. Black tablecloths, streamers and curtains can make the setting feel moody and intimate, and gold accents like dishware or confetti bring that lively, glitzy feeling.

Consider dedicating one wall as a backdrop for pictures with decor like balloons, flowers and lights. Ultimately, anything shimmery, glittery and glamorous is sure to fit in.

Lighting

To maintain the vibrancy of season 3, try amping up the natural light by opening windows and using warm lighting until the sun goes down. Then, you can bring out the moody purple LEDs, twinkle lights and even black lights so beloved to the series aesthetic. The mood lighting sets up the ambience perfectly for when the show begins.

Music

Although Labrinth left the show and is not a part of Euphoria season 3, his music is inseparable from the series. Be sure to queue up “Formula” and “Still Don’t Know My Name” to really hit those nostalgic early-season vibes. Then, cycle through the many pivotal songs featured in each season’s soundtrack.

Activities

Keep a Polaroid or digital camera on hand and take pics throughout the night. Set up a faux photo booth with props like masks to match Kat’s vibe or bouquets to match Cassie’s. After the party, you can gift guests the physical media they’re sure to cherish. You can also have stations for guests to add glitter or rhinestones to themselves to amp up the aesthetic.

Dress Code: Channeling the Fits and Makeup

If there’s one thing people know Euphoria for, it’s the style. This is your and your guests’ chance to really pull the theme together with over-the-top, sultry outfits and creative, bold makeup. Whether drawing from Cassie’s bathroom crashout fit or Maddy’s famous rhinestone eyeliner looks, there are plenty of ways you can bring the vibe to your living room.

Remember that the cutout dresses and glittery makeup aren’t the only ways to emulate the show and its characters. At its core, Rue is the main thread in the series. You can throw on her red hoodie to keep it cozy and to pay tribute to some of the show’s deeper themes.

Dining and Drinks: Cooking Up Themed Treats

Whether you watch the finale the night of the premiere or after everyone has caught up, a good host should always have appropriate snacks or drinks that fit the evening. Think snacks, sharables and a thematic cocktail to get everyone ready for the show.

Snacks

Finger foods like small sandwiches, charcuterie and even cupcakes can be the ideal treats for this watch party. During the viewing itself, you can keep it simple with light fare like popcorn and chips. Don’t forget to dust everything with edible glitter.

Cocktails and Mocktails

Your cocktails and mocktails can really help get everyone into the mood, so think pretty, flavorful and sparkly. Try the bold Oklahoma Prairie Fire to pay homage to last season’s iconic play, made with or without Mezcal and hot chili powder for the spice this finale will bring. Otherwise, you can’t go wrong with champagne with a dash of edible glitter.

Deliberate: Challenging Each Other With Predictions

Before the show starts, it can be a fun exercise to see where everyone’s head is at. What have they thought of the season so far? What do they think will happen in this episode?

You can make a game of it by asking everyone to write their predictions down before the show starts, then return to them after. Collect these and don’t read them until the episode is over.

You can also set up a quick refresh or trivia game to ensure everyone is on the same page before the episode starts, so no one gets left behind or has to pause to catch up.

Discussion: Coming Down From the Event

Once the episode concludes and everyone can gather their thoughts, don’t send them home right away. Keep those mood lights on, get the music back and open up the floor to discussion. Refill drinks and plates, if needed.

Return to the predictions you made and reward the most accurate guessers. You can have small prizes for winners, and then open up the floor to other questions, like:

  • Whose ideas do you wish had happened?
  • What stones are still unturned?
  • Will there be a next season?
  • What would you want to see next?

Though a fourth season is still undetermined, the numbers are there to indicate the show’s growth. This season’s premiere saw a 44% increase in viewership over season 2, potentially signaling good news for the show’s future.

But what does the finale look like? Where can the stories go?

Decompression: Ending the Night With a Job Well Done

As the night comes to an end with the season, you can offer your guests parting gifts as a thank-you for coming and indulging in the theme. Give them their physical polaroids or ask for an address to send the printed digital pics when they come back, and you can even offer a vial of body glitter or custom stickers.

Even if the show doesn’t end as expected or hoped, you can always make sure people remember the party and time spent together fondly.

To Be Continued?

As Euphoria season 3 comes to an end, you can throw the best watch party to match the series’ themes and visuals, from the glittery teen-angst years to its young-adult realness. With the right lighting, music, food and, of course, glitter, you can make this a night to remember beyond the show.
