When it comes to getting ready for work, time is precious. However, that doesn’t mean you must sacrifice your hairstyle because you are short on time. With a couple of simple tricks and inspiration, you can get cute and professional hairstyles that are perfect for the workplace. Whether short, long or somewhere in-between hair, hairstyles will keep you looking polished and put together all day. Here are nine easy hairstyles for work.

1. Sleek Low Bun

The sleek low bun is a timeless and elegant hairstyle that exudes professionalism. Start by brushing your hair to remove any tangles and bumps and gather it meeting at the middle of your neck. Use a secure elastic band and twist the hair into a neat bun while securing it with bobby pins. Use hairspray to tame flyaways and add a shiny polished finish. This hairstyle works well for both medium and long hair lengths and can be achieved in a few minutes.

2.  Claw Clip French Twist

The French twist is a classic, refined hairstyle perfect for formal work settings. Begin by gathering your hair and twisting it upwards from the back of your head. Keep rotating until your hair reaches the crown of your head and tuck away any loose ends as you go. Secure the twist with a claw clip for an adorable personal touch. You can use various colors and styles to add a little personality to your hair. It looks great as a slick-back hairstyle as well.

Use bobby pins and hair spray to secure any bumps and loose hair. A French twist adds elegance while keeping your hair out of your face and put together.

3. Low Ponytail

A low pony is a quick and simple solution for an effortless hairstyle at work. You can give it a twist by turning it into a low braid or take a secession from the ponytail and wrap it around the base to cover the elastic band. Secure it with a bobby pin under the elastic and watch how it looks like your hair is securing the ponytail. Pull out front pieces to frame your face if you want a softer look.

It is simple and versatile, adding a touch to a typical ponytail. The hairstyle gives you movement of security when you add the braid. It works well for most hair lengths and is perfect for busy mornings with little time.

4. Waves To The Side

You can do waves swept to the side for a soft look that still looks professional. You start by curling your hair with a large barrel curling iron or rod. Once they are cooled, gently brush through them, sweep your hair to one side and secure it with bobby pins. This style is particularly flattering for those with long and medium hair lengths.

You can also do a half-up, half-down hair look with your waves. It adds a voluminous bounce and keeps some hair out of your face for the day. This is also a great option for hair wash day to get you through when you don’t have time.

5. Half-Up Top Knot

The half-up top knot is a trendy and practical hairstyle that is stylish and perfect for on-the-go. Gather the top section of your hair and leave strains to frame your face. Secure the hair with an elastic like a high ponytail. Twist the ponytail into a bun and secure it with bobby pins. It lets you showcase your hair length and keep things out of your face. It can be used on more casual days at work and is even great to carry on for other daily activities.

6. Sleek Straight Hair

Sometimes keeping things simple is key. Having glossy straight hair will have you waking around like the boss you are. Straight hair can make a powerful statement in the workplace. After you wash and condition your hair so it is clean, use a heat protectant and straighten it with a flat iron. Apply a small amount of soothing serum for added shine and keep the frizz away. The sleek and polished hairstyle is suitable for all hair lengths and can be achieved the night before if you want to save time in the morning. It is a classic that will never go out of style.

7. Braided Bun

For a twist on a regular bun that can look messy and unprofessional, you can add certain aspects to it that elevate it and make it look well put together. Gather all your hair at the top of your head and comb through it to ensure tangles and bumps are out. Leave strains in the front of your face to add a frame.

Secure the base with an elastic then braid the hair and secure it again. Wrap the braid around the base until fully wrapped around it and secure it with another elastic and bobby pins if necessary. Use a gel or hair mask to secure any flyaways.

8. Slick Back Ponytail

Slick-back styles have become all the rage due to their sleek look with minimal effort. To get the perfect pony, use the double ponytail method. Use your finger to part the crown and front sections of hair and clip off to the side for now. Make a ponytail with the bottom half of your hair and secure it and then gather the other hair around the ponytail and secure it over top of it. This will add volume to your pony. You can add gel to give it a sleek look or keep it more natural looking.

9. Braided Crown

The braided crown is an elegant and feminine hairstyle that adds a touch of sophistication to your work look. Part your hair in the middle and create two braids on either side of your head. Cross them over each other and at the back and secure them with bobby pins. This is a great look since it is different from the typical low hairstyles that stay loose in the back. It works best with longer hair but can also be modified for short hair.

It is practical and adds a whimsical look to your hairstyles.
